Deniz is a Turkish-American director & editor whose narrative work explores personal themes through genre-blending, experiential techniques. He is a directing fellow at the AFI conservatory.
His undergraduate film “My Child” premiered at Fantasia. It was nominated for an ASC Student Heritage Award, as well as the Grand Jury Award at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth. It is now available on Crypt TV, the horror platform founded by Eli Roth and Blumhouse.
His documentary “Projectionist” was broadcast on PBS and featured in publications such as MovieMaker Magazine and No Film School. It played at Oscar® Qualifying festivals such as RIFF and Provincetown Film Festival.
